My pregnant body

As a woman living in today's world of social media we are more incline to see unobtainable body images thrown at us all the time. As this is my second time pregnant I feel that "unobtainable perfect female body image" has also creeped into the world of the pregnant body forms. I feel more than ever that there is this perfect image of this pregnant woman; who happens to only gain 25 lbs while she is pregnant and postpartum she has a wash board stomach instantaneously. Okay, so for all of you women out there whose had babies must know that's probably only 1% of women in the entire world.

When I was pregnant with Mase I gained around 85 lbs. and still looked pregnant for 3 weeks after I gave birth. This time around I have gained close to 45 lbs. and probably will also look pregnant for awhile after I give birth to this baby. Seeing these perfect body images pre and post birth of these women makes me feel so discouraged about myself. I already struggle with my body image when I am not pregnant, can't the world just let me enjoy the time I am pregnant. Its hard not to think that you are fat when you are pregnant even though you know that you are growing a beautiful child inside of you.

I have done a maternity shoot every time I have been pregnant to mark the beginning of my child's life. I find that with this pregnancy I have gained less weight but I look at my body in these beautiful images and I am still not happy. I think to myself where has my butt gone? Should I do some squats, but than I just end up too tired to do anything exercise related (after a day of work, taking care of my 20 month and dealing with #thewarden). I keep telling myself that all body types are different and every women's situation is different so I can't be hard on myself, but I still keep comparing. I sometime wish we can go back to the old days where Instagram, Twitter and Facebook wasn't there to haunt us.

37 weeks...3 more weeks to go...OMG!
